During more than 27 years of banking carrier I managed Branch Operations, Area Operations, obtained experience in Project Management, Business Analysis, Data Quality Improvement, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence tools (Cognos BI), User Education and Retail performance reporting & monitoring.
As a graduate of Accounting, along with my work at Data Warehouse for 10 years provided me with great exposure to many bank businesses including Finance and Accounting, Audit, Operations, Retail and Corporate. My role required understanding of business and business needs which allowed me to translate business requirements to a comprehensive and satisfactory DWH service to business. While internally, the above helped me accurately define required tasks and subtasks, allocate resources and manage timeline for projects, including recent migration of DWH Users to the new web based Data Warehouse BI (Congos8).
Areas of expertise:
1991 – 1993, Branch Operations Manager at Saudi Hollandi Bank SHB, starting from CSR, to CSR manager to Operations Manager. My work included day to day management of retail branch operations and 12 operations staff. Branch opening and closing and insuring availability of adequate cash along with internal accounts reconciling, etc…
1994 – 1996, Area Operations Manager for National Commercial Bank NCB, Southern Jeddah Area branches, managing operations and operations’ staff of 11 branches. Role also included branches’ adherence to policies and procedures, audit reviews, handling daily issues raised by area branches, implement plans to achieve area financial and operational goals.
1997 – 2000, User Education Supervisor at NCB, as part of Microsoft Framework model, defining NCB staff technical awareness needs. Presented business with latest technologies that relates to their work. Coordinate IT staffs’ technical training, prepare documentation of newly developed applications and plan user training before rollouts. Provide Computer Based Training (CBT) for both generic system awareness and specific application releases whenever possible.
2001 – 2003, Project Manager at Data Quality Improvement Project for NCB, evaluate and score data quality of customer information in NCB systems, define data quality system requirements to stop the bleeding and in parallel launch branch task force to enhance data quality with periodical quality monitoring, scoring and reporting.
2004 – 2014, Data Warehouse Business Intelligence (BI) Unit manager, managing 5 support staff, handling requirement analysis, producing functional requirement and coordinate development and SQA testing. Front line support for Data Warehouse users. Coordinate and conduct user awareness sessions for any DWH enhancement. Manage DWH enhancements’ rollout to users during system upgrades. Introduce BI tool (Cognos 8) to business. Support many business projects requiring consistent data monitoring using DWH.
2015 – , Senior Officer Branch Performance & Sales Monitoring, setting branches annual and monthly sales targets at all levels of retail business, building campaigns to boost sales reporting detail business performance and ensuring availability of performance information to all levels of retail business from sales employees to branch network management.

- Computer courses certificates in various Microsoft products and languages, Data Warehouse reporting and Business Intelligence tools.

Achievements:
With good academic knowledge of business concepts and actual work experience along with knowledge of recent technology products and services. Managed to utilize technology to provide best services to business. Following are some of my acknowledged initiatives:
- Automated manual teller-cash reconciliation process at SHB branch which reduced daily branch closure time by about half an hour.
- Introduced a computerized customers-signature verification application to replace manual signature cards.
- Managed migration of Saudi Hollandi Bank western-region branches to online system (Kindle), replacing old batch system, including formal staff training on the new system.
- Managed business operation for 11 NCB branches for 2 years inclusive of their migration to new online BANCS system.
- Introduced automated circulars faxing using the computer to manage distribution of internal circulars to all NCB 250 branches. This reduced allot of handouts and cost.
- Introduced computer remote connection for DWH support service in a way to provide online support for Data Warehouse users.

- Excellent English command in reading, writing & speaking.
- Excellent command of work related applications and languages such as:
Basic, Pascal, MS-FoxPro, All MS-Office, MS-Access, SQL, Cognos BI, MS-FrontPage & PHP for active internet website design. Java for Android platform.
- Conducted many training courses for system migration, orientation sessions, presentations, and have excellent ability to transfer knowledge to audience.
- Have a logical “out of the box” thinking and can productively negotiate ideas, suggestions and requirements.
- Always managed to incorporate and utilize latest technologies to automate processes and reduce handouts for financial and other workflows. Including many mobile applications developed in Java for Android platform. Examples “1DayClip.com” & “Task Recorder”.
- Internet utilization in day to day life to serve work and personal needs. I even developed my own online task management web php application to facilitate an always-online tracking of both; work and personal related tasks. Examples “Log Task”, “XMap” & “XStreet”.
